It's here. Volume I: Stasis — the first book in the My Beautiful Device series — is live everywhere books live.
This one started in 2020 as a prophetic audiobook time capsule, and it took until March 4th, 2026 to arrive in print. March Forth felt like the only date it could publish on.
It's a cyberpunk story, but not really about the tech. It's about a coder named They Them, a memory coming apart at the seams, and a device built by hand — out of old analog parts — that wants nothing more than to come alive. It's about the friends who hold the ground when everything else goes to static: a dojo, a brother-in-spirit, a North Star. It's about mutual aid as survival, and survival as a kind of software the soul runs quietly, underneath everything.
If any of that sounds familiar — if you've ever built something with your hands because your head needed somewhere else to be — this book is for you.
Paperback, Kindle, EPUB, and an ambient audio companion are all live now.
Even in a world of Stasis, the human spirit can't be hard-coded.
